In her Passage Speech at Class Night, Class President, Natalie Grayson, told her classmates, "High school has been a lot like the cherry blossoms. Growth and beauty, but for such a short time....No matter where in life you go, take what you have learned here and be the best that you can be."

"My hope is that we take with us what we have learned here and that we go on to make a difference in the world," Class Speaker Benjamin Rust told his classmates. The Alternative Pathway to Success (A.P.S.) Program is an alternative evening program designed to help students reach success using non-traditional approaches to teaching and learning. The program strives to provide students with foundational skills necessary to be successful in obtaining a high school diploma or GED while also providing them with supports necessary to help improve school attendance, behavior and good decision-making.

The A.P.S. program is seeking certified instructors to teach in this alternative setting using non-traditional teaching strategies to support student success. This program requires two days a week: one 1.5 hour session and a 2.5 hour session for English, Math, History and Science. The Transition position requires two one-hour sessions per week. Assignment days are flexible

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

The main responsibilities of the Career Resource Specialist are:

• Maintain, supervise, and coordinate all utilization of the Career Center;
• Provide assistance to counselors, teachers, and others, as needed, in the delivery of developmental/career services;
• Aid students/parents in their search for information regarding careers, post-secondary education, financial aid, scholarships and military opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred with one to two years related experience and/or training.
